Default 1999 Polaris 335 sportsman

Does anyone now why my 335 sportsman bogs out when a strain is applied. It starts and idles perfectly

Welcome to the forums. Pull the black wire from the reverse limiter module at the terminal board and see if that helps. Item#36 in the parts break down.

The capacitor charge coil resistance between the green and red/black should be around 446 ohms, green to red 3.2 ohms. Pick up coil white to white/red 97 ohms. I usually had a no spark condition when the green to red/black wire's resistance showed way less or had shorted out,had to replace a lot of stators on this and the pick up coil still showed ok on a lot,but anythings possible. I'd still pull the limiter module wire and see if any change before you go after a new stator.

Stators aren't cheap for the 335 but you could take a chance on a cheap 30 buck Caltric stator.
Amazon Amazon
Or 150 bucks from a reputable supplier like Ricky's.http://www.rickystator.com/product/s...assembly-99-00

Check resistance on the Caltric stator. If resistance checks out, pull the black wire from the reverse limiter I mentioned earlier. If still no spark, pull the black kill wire from the cdi to isolate it from the ignition switch and left control switch. If you have spark, then the problem coil be in the wiring from these switches or the kill circuit from the cdi can short itself. If pulling the black cdi wire doesn't help on spark, the Catric stator checks out along with the coil specs, then you're down to a faulty cdi module.
