my blaster doesn't sound so good

my blaster spitters and sputters, I've never owned a 2 stroke quad before so i don't know it this is normal or not. is it??? i mean, the bike runs fine it just don't sound great at all. also, it wont idle by itself but for about 5 seconds, after that it just sorta slowly dies. i can keep it running fine and all, i just have to pay attention. i can't leave it alone for a few seconds without it cutting off. help, is this normal??

take off your seat and take off the air filter, if it is so dirty you cant clean it get a new one or clean it with gas and let it dry before running it again that might do the trick, if not, screw in the idle screw to idle it up more, i believe it is by the choke lever,if that dosen't do it,i don't no what 2 tell u! lol

Check your spark plug and move on from there. A two strokes spark plug is an awsome troubleshooting tool. If it's white or light colored it to lean, if it's brown it's pretty close and if it's black it running to rich....which is what I'm betting on. Those are the basics anyway.
I've never delt with a Blasters air filter....but if it doesn't come clean with soap and water you need to replace it.
Let us know what you find.

hey well the machine is only 4 days old, it's not the airfilter I'm positive because i've even checked it. i don't think it's the carb or the spark plug either because again, it's only 4 days old. maybe it is just the idle, I'll check for the screw and bump it up little, then I'll tell you what's up
thanks
