Hey, I'm almost 13, will be this month, and looking for a ATV. I'm around 5'0 and weigh 125 pounds. Any suggestions on what ATVs to get. I don't have much experience soo need a begginning one. I am open to ideas. Thanks

 

I would get a 400ex because there bullit proof, pretty fast, great chassi and suspension, and you can find them dirt cheap right now. They are also not real fast so it wont overpower you or anything. If you want any more info plz dont refrain to ask.

Maybe you should start out a little smaller the 400ex is underpowered compared to other 400 plus quads but it's still a fairly powerful quad. Maybe you should start out with a 250 lika a 250ex or a z250. I think if you're fairly strong and coordinated the 400ex would be fine especially if you don't go full throttle and dump the clutch and try to ride wheelies and stuff right off the bat. Just ease into it and gradually you'll be able to do other things. If you have experienced buddies or your dad or anyone take tips from them and watch and learn from them.

 

i agree with mud slinger, i have ridden a 400ex, and and they are pretty powerful, well this one had a slip on white brothers , but that was it. they are to fast for a semi 12 year old. i would get a 300ex, 250ex, or a z250. if you dont care for a clutch i would get the 300ex.

 

Hondaracer I agree with all those and the 300ex is probably one of the best choices and probably will last as long as he has it.

 

hi im 13, about 5'5" and about 120 an i have a kawasaki mojave 250 its a nice quad fore some one just learling how to ride but it should keep you happy for a while

Alright! Another Georgia rider shows up. I'm 15 and just got a Warrior a couple days ago and love it. But for someone your size and experience, the 300EX would be a good choice.
