WHAT IN THE FU** ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? i never mentioned the yfz versus the banshee. i was saying an equal powered 2 stroke to an equal powered 4 stroke. the yfz weighs less and has lower gearing, so it will beat a stock banshee. ALL I WAS TRYING TO SAY IS (no pay attention instead of posting useless and utterly retarded replies) a 4 stroke and 2 stroke with equal gearing and weight will be VERY VERY VERY CLOOOOOOOSE ok?????????? o and i ment to post that polaris thing in the post where that guy was switching brands,but something screwed up and it wouldnt let me. so stfu

 

and oh yeah whered u get 33hp for the banshee? 45hp is at the crank for the yfz there bud.so ur talking 38-40hp. different dynos on different days show different results too u know

 

how'd this get turned into a 2-stroke vs. 4-stroke arguement? The guy asked why tell him why and dont argue about whether a 2-stroke is better than a 4stroke or not. Guys we have done this a million times before, some like 4's and some like 2's leave it at that.

You said same HP, OKAY, once again, a banshee,im not losing you yet am I, ok good, a banshee with the same HORSEPOWER as the yfz, 45 shee vs. 45 yfz. a banshee stock is just as fast as a yfz, if not, its faster ,so if a shee, modded up to 45 hp to be EQUAL with the yfz or any other 4 stroke, how does a yfz beat a banshee? you know nothing of what your talking about, if you did, you wouldnt be putting up these stupid posts that you are. And about the banshee having 33 hp, there are people all over here that know it, and many magazines say that too.

ok, wheres your proof that a 45 hp 4stroke will beat a 45 hp 2 stroke? and what facts are you talking about, i havent been beat by a 4stroke yet.

 

i never said BEAT. u need to read more carefully. two things with same hp and weight, 2stroke or 4 stroke are gunna be close is my point. am i talking about the yfz450 and banshee? no as i said 100 times.

 

ALthough im not a fan o fthis 2004Ds650 kid, i gotta agree with him. If all things are equal, then the two bikes would be side by side, however nothing is equal. the reason the shee and the raptor have a higher top end, gearing. Change the gearing on the yami and watch it go. Mind you, you cant change the tranny gearing, which would also make a huge difference. Yami geared the YFZ to be quick and snappy,great for a MX course...unlike a banshee which is meant to be wound out and run at the dunes.

But then you also have power curves..everyone knows the lightswitch powerband the shee has..it hits, making the bike feel snappier and VERY quick..sure it is a quick bike, it just feels quicker then a four stroke because of that hit.

Bottom line, if you took two bikes, both with 45hp, both with the same weight, both with the same rider, and both with the same power curve, but one a 2-stroke, and one a 4 stroke, they would be the same.

 

Two bikes with same power curve, hp, etc, of course they will be different, if thats what you were saying 2004ds then i agree, but if say a 2 stroke modded to about 45 hp and a 4stroke modded to 45 hp with equal riders, weight, but no limit to power curve and gearing then, the 2 stroke would be faster.
