even then it dosent make sense. they just feel quicker. a 4 stroke of similar power will be close. hes just trying to say 2 strokes in general are quicker,and they arent.

 

How? they have twice the power, i think they are quicker, and faster, 4strokes are slower but have more torque, I dont think they feel quicker, they are, my banshee just about jerks my arms out of socket when i nail the throttle on pavement. 2-strokes have a higher potential for power/speed over a 4 stroke. IM not saying that four strokes are slow, but a 250 2 stroke will waste a 300/350 four stroke such as a warrior/300ex, etc.

 

im comparing a comparable 4 stroke. a 250 2 stroke dirt bike and a 450 4 stroke are close in acceleration and speed hmmmm. if a 4 stroke makes 40hp and a 2 stroke makes the same and they weigh the same and have equal riders, i bet theyd be even

 

Not talking about dirtbikes,they are totally different. a 250 2stroke such as the 250r has 26 rwhp, the yfz has 45 rwhp or somthing like that, if you modded the 250r to have the same hp as the yfz, it would be faster. the yfz, with about the same hp as my banshee will not beat it.

 

duh i know the dirt bikes are different,but all of the sudden when two quads,one a 2 and another a 4 stroke have the same hp the 2 stroke is faster. yeah ok. i can argue this all day,but u seem to be one of those ppl that are never wrong,so just drop ur meaningless dribble. YOUR WRONG same hp: same weight: EQUALS EVEN RACE (with equal rider of course)

 

Dude, dont post what you dont know.How do you figure, a banshee with 45 hp, would be smoked by any fourstroke QUAD with 45hp? it just wont happen.

 

you forgot about gearing, and power curve. max HP numbers dont mean ****.

 

what ever 2 strokes are quciker unless like he said it is a godd diffrence between cc's but still a banshee will almost always get the holeshot over anything then the others might catch up

 

equal gearing, equal hp,equal weight EQUAL everything except ones a 2 an ones a 4. Ok dude, do us all a favor and shut up, If they are equal,according to you, then why do you keep starting this stupid stuff?Are you trying to get people to think your an idiot or what(esspecially when you posted that polaris's suck in yamaha forums)?SOO, a 2 stroke, makes twice as much power as a four stroke because of 2 less strokes, equal hp, two stroke, twice as much power because twice the combustions, duh.the reason the yfz is so fast is because it is ran off of premium fuel, not regular unleaded.and the yfz has all these new titanium parts on it, to rev faster similar to a 2 stroke. it might feel faster, but it is not. yfz-75mph(according to like 90% of other yfz owners) banshee- 77mph(knowledge, and everyone in these forums knows it) how is a yfz faster than a banshee? doing simple math, a banshee has a higher top speed of about 2 mph. And a stock banshee-33 rwhp yfz-45 rwhp, and a banshee is just as fast stock, a 45 hp banshee, equal, according to you. Remember, stock there is about a 12 hp diff. a banshee is a hair slower(according to you) with 33 hp, and the yfz with 45 hp is just barely faster, how, with equal hp, is a banshee slower, when a 12 hp diff, they are basically the same power? Yamaha had to make the fourstroke 45 hp on premium fuel to be as fast .If there is a way that you figure that i am wrong then lets hear it.
