YFZ problems

What type of riding are you planning to do? This bike would be my pick for MX, dunes, or freestyle jumping.
I took a friends (bone stock) out mountain trail/fireroad riding last weekend, and it wasn't that great. No low end power, and the suspension is set up for big hits on a groomed MX track, so the ride is rough. The bike does corner nicely, though.
I liked it better out in the open desert. It took the whoops like no other bike I have ever ridden. Jumping in the dunes was a blast. With some softer aftermarket suspension, it will be a great bike for the dunes. Riding desert cross-country, it was fun, like riding a Blaster.
Anyway, ride one if possible before you buy! A lot of people are buying these based on the hype, but they really are a somewhat specialized machine. If you are looking for a general purpose machine, I would say this isn't it.
Mechanically, my friends bike has had no problems, and it probably has 50 hrs on it.
