Default up keep on 2-stroke

I wasn't thinking of buying a 2-stroke but I was wondering like what kind of normal upkeep is needed on a 2-stroke like anything that needs to be changed on a regular basis.

Generally, 2-stroke regular maintenance includes rings at a minimum. Most people would never install just rings w/o at least running a hone through the cylinder. Of course boring is much more common on a 2-stroke and it's not done as an upgrade most of the time. It's usually a necessity to keep running since the top ends get trashed. To those of us who like 2-strokes, this maintenance is no big deal. But it seems like those who are 4-strokers find it a hassle.

You can freshen the top end on a Banshee in half the time of ringing a single cylinder 4-stoke quad. There are no valves to burn and regrind, no chain to stretch, and much fewer moving parts.

If you change the oil and clean the filter often they are very reliable.
