Best trail Qaud
#21
Well just for the fact that no one else said it and I have one, I would say the Predator. The suspension and front end are pretty good. I think they are pretty reasonable too. Well just my two cents and small bit of advertisement. Brad

Actually, on second thought, if you want a sport quad for trail riding, look at a Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4. They'll go anywhere. Good handling, soft ride, tons of power, and automatic.

If all you are looking for is a potent trail mount you’ve probably heard how the Prairie 700 Sport / Ute rips up the trails with it’s 697cc twin cylinder engine in a 600 pound package. Well now just imagine taking that Prairie and shaving nearly 100 lbs of weight off of it while improving the suspension package at the same time and adding other sport quad ergonomics. What you end up with is a V-Force! Will it really pull away from the rest of the group as you asked in your original post? Probably not if your group consists of other experienced riders on other high performance sport quads. However the V-Force should be able to hang well with the best of them under trail conditions (it’s done very well in the GNCC races). The automatic tranny actually could be a benefit under certain circumstances (where hills are involved or if you have a lot of slow down / speed up situations). It also has more ground clearance than chain driven sport quads because there is no rear sprocket which is normally the part that is closest to the ground.
However the “V” is not for everybody and as you would with any model, you have to see what feels the most comfortable to you, especially if you plan to push the envelope…

Depends how old you are. When I was a child I thought my 250r was. Then I thought I had grown up and bought a RAPPY.Now I have grown up and have a V-FORCE.Out of the three the force is by far the best.Better ride, brakes better, more ground clearance,0-40 fastest stock quad made, less to maintain. If your going to do alot of trail riding, long rides go with the V.The other quads are fun when you want to play but not for long trail rides.

Most people use 0-40 ontrails. You come out of a turn and nail it.Thats where the V kicks but.If your hitting 60 on trails your on a boring straight trail, the question was which is the best trail machine. If I want top speed then get 500 ZILLA.
