what is better for trail riding, trails that are bumpy, muddy and straight. THANXS

 

250x I have had both and the x is a much better quad. The mojaves hade a good engine with dohc but in wheelies and jumps the x is a lot better. Plus the x has a decompressor so kicking isnt as hard. The only con is that they are tipy in corners but spacers take care of that.

 

The 250x has excellent suspension. If you've ever ridden a 300ex then imagine it handling even better (250x is lighter) then you will know.

THe Mojave does have more power however the suspension is not quite up to par. This can be fixed simply by adding some of the lower-end aftermarket shocks such as Works.

Overall the 250X would be the best machine IMHO if you can find one in really good shape. If not then get a Mojave they loose value quick so you can pickup a nice 01-02 now really cheap.

And u know why they are selling those almost brand new mojave's for half of what they paid. If u can try both of them.

 

I believe that Honda makes a more dependable engine. The Mo's wear out cams and the valves sink into the heads. But the Mo is much quicker.

I broke a front shock on mine and bought some werks ones. They are much better than the stock ones.

 

i would go with the Mojave
I have drivien both, and there is nbo quad in its class that even touches it in power and speed

 

yeah mabee if the class was all 250ex's and z250's. I had both for a while and the x was faster. And the 300ex is even faster than the 250x.

and 250x, there is no chance. I have raced a Piped, and
jetted 250x, when my mojave was stock, and KILLED it
there is just now way, The 300ex is just a bit faster top
end and thats it, No faster on the bottom

OOooooo is this a P*ssing contest I hear?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]jk.I have a mojave never rode a 300 or 250 X.Its what ever your more comfortable to Ya.I bought a mOjave cause I wanted liquid cooling,I would think anything w LC of similiar proportion would make alil more HP then an air cooled motor due to tighter tolerances.I wish kawasaki still made the tecate,cause I woulda bought that instead of looking at the MO or blaster.
