As for me, I have an '03 baja. Stock for stock, i have not been beat. I have a few mods now, and like the performance. However it does not make me the fastest out there. I beat, and get beat. They go hand in hand.

Get what you like. Test drive all of them. By the looks of it, all your going to get here is "im better than you". So much for a "good opinion".

you've summed up my experiences with a stock DS and Raptor also.. I then GYT-R piped, GYT-R foam filtered, lid off and re-jeted the Raptor and it ran just about even with the stock DS from the hole shot to top end on a dirt road. These comparisons were done with stock tires and gearing.

 

You cant go wrong with the DS. The rotax motor in it will still be running while all the others are being worked on. IMO Also they make alot of mods for the DS, Also when u get done with the DS u can have it lookin like and being like a fast dune quad like mine.(just take a look in my pics and see, and yes its fast!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ) Just got done with it like a couple of days ago and took it to the dunes and it ran like a champ.

 

I agree that a Raptor will out do a Predator on Top-Speed, a friend of mine has a Predator and we race on blacktop all the time and I out run everytime but noe by much. I guess this would have to do with alltitude too. I'm not dissing the Pred. because it is an incredible machine but stock for the Raptor has it on top end. In 300ft. drag race it would be close. I have just purchased a YFZ 450 and neither one could hold a candle in a drag race of 300ft.

 

Trailrider, if I ever get a chance to make it out there, you better bring the baddest Pred you can find.

And not if, but when I smoke you..I want to get on here and see a posts from you, stating how a Raptor kicked around in a race. Oh yeah, make sure you throw my name in there. LOL.

You know, it's funny how when topic's like this start, everyone has stories about the quads in question, and they are always differnt. One guy has a Pred that whoops everything.....then another has a stock DS that kills piped Pred's...then this other guy has a Raptor that beats everything...and another guy has this......

I have already shared my Pred experience. Pavement race...my piped Raptor stomped a sock Pred with 13 tooth sprocket and baffle pulled. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

You heard it here first. A piped Raptor beat a stock Pred with a few adjustments!!!!

lol for all you ppl with these 680 something raptors bragging about them being faster than a 500 polaris,hmm no kidding its almost 200cc bigger..put the money you spent into the polaris and see what happens..a friend of mine has a polaris scrambler 400 with a power max 416 kit id like to see your raptors and ds beat that thing lol.its not going to happen.and its even a auto lol..stock for stock the preddy is keeping up with both the ds and raptor,pretty sad seeing the size difference if you ask me..

 

well if you want to talk about size difference then whats up with the new 450's outrunning predators?

according to a shoot out i read,the preddy will beat the yfz450 on pavement,up a sand hill well the 450 wins.drop the preddy down to 350lbs and see it smoke the yfz,ds,and the raptor..

 

are we talking a yfz or a 450r, because i beat a yfz, that was stock i know, but i won and the kid running it was only about 115 lbs. If you guys are so fast, ill have to tell you guys when we go down next time, or if you are ever in southwest iowa. I'll show you that you stock quads will get beat and that the pred is faster and needs more resect that you guys give it.
