One more thing, from what my dealer tells me, he says that he has been winning most of the races around with his pred, and his sport may be even faster. So according to that, I would say that a polaris can be quite quick.

 

Why is everyone so obsessed with this "stock vs stock" drag racing idea? First off, all of them are within a few lengths of each other anyway. Rider ability will make the biggest variation. That said, most people dont leave their bikes completely stock anyway. The average rider adds a filter or pipe or carb or other minor stuff. Can't we just say that they are all very close in speed and that your decision on what to buy should be made on how the quad performs in the conditions you like to ride???

No matter how fast your are, stock or modded, someone will always be faster. And that someone could be riding a bike that was slower than yours stock. So just chill, run your own races, and keep them to yourself. Then you can tell the members how well the bike handled on the ride back from the end of the drag strip.

 

Yamaha660r, i am not going to go back and forth on this topic all day long but if you want we can arrange something for us to meet up somewhere this summer and run a couple times, I would love to see how my pred performs with its new motor and boondocker kit compared to your rappy. Let me know we can settle this once and for all. And yes i will be bringing a camera and video camera. Ill even bring an old ds 650 i have kickin around my garage and see how that does vs your raptor becuase it wont beat my pred.. It is also for sale so it would be good advertisment.

 

The pred is a great machine in my opinion,BUT its not somthing i would buy to drag race with.I know everyone is proud of there machine and wants to say they can outrun a raptor and a ds,but at the end of the day the only thing u might be able to say is that u kept up with it........and thats proberly a good thing knowing the big difference in h.p.......Its nice all of u pred owners have goals.........but lets try to be relistic for a moment........how many preditors do u see at 4-stroke wars........nuff said...

 

I would love to meet up, but if it takes nitrous to win that is not really fair. I don't have to cheat with NOS. LOL.

Well here's one for you from my region, a slightly modded Predator last year never....I did say never, lost to anything in the upper midwest. So let's be aditionally realistic and state that the Raptor has been out since 01, and the Predator has been out since 03. Setting aside the 160cc the Predator gives up to the Rap (obviously people big bore both of them), still being in it's infancy, it's a pretty impressive offering. Now go get a Kleenex and blow the snot out of your nose.....I can't stand snot's with their noses up in the air. People like you used to get the Bertouzzi treatment on my rink.

For God's sake people, pick your fave and have fun, I don't see any CEO's on here lately, so the outcomes won't have any affect on your stock price.

modquad, i wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. obviously some quad owners are a little more sensitive when it comes to the subject of drag racing. If u cant take a little ball busting without tearing up then u might want to keep your "SUPER PREDITOR" off the strip, theres nothing but pain an anguish for u there.............lol.........lighten up dude, its just life.
