Default Factory-modified shootout

It was a pretty good Shootout I think but then the DS didn't even get a pipe or nothing, just think if it did, it would of easily won the drag race section of the Shootout.

It was kinda stupid....they said the DS blew a tire and they didnt have it in the whole shootout except for like 2 things.

I just dont get why they put a Predator 500 up against quads that are 650+ cc's. I don't see why its in the same category...but oh well I guess we should let them test anything vs. anything.

I noticed that as well, the DS didn't have a pipe on it, and the only bad thing....almost.... that they had to say about it was the swingarm being shortened. Bomb says that the reasoning behiend that is to put the power to the ground faster, and it works like ladderbars on a car, It puts more weight from the front end on it sooner, thus providing more traction, and more get up and go.

And now for a little of my opinion, if I were a potental buyer out there, what I'd like to see would be a shootout like this, same bikes and all, and give them all a limit in dollars for each department.(cosmetics, engine, suspension, etc.) Then do the shootout, measure the HP, drag times, track times etc. Then this way, the consumer can sit back, and look at each and see how they compare to the next with X amount of dollars put into it. Makes sence to me, anyone else?

I thought it was a good article all together. Atleast I enjoyed reading it. The pic's of the factory decorated quads were nice as well.
