i haven't really gone trail riding a whole lot yet, but when i have, i never have a problem with not having reverse... i just hop off and push/pull for a couple feet, it takes the same time it would to use reverse, and your *** gets a rest from the seat
also, if your just wheeling, jumping, and light mud then you probably won't even need to do that much at all... its not like your planning on being in tight areas all the time.... my2cents!

 

one other thing.. not having reverse to me means just 1 less thing that can break
