Speedometer on a sport quad
I use mine for checking the milage when I put on a XC race. The riders all want to know how long the course is. This way I don't have to go and as a DBR what is the milage. Had the thing on when I did the XC race at Loretta's Lynns a few weeks ago and it was neat to see the fastest speed(42mph), average speed(16.9mph), and total length (43.2 miles) during the race for me.
We also, used it when trail riding in the moutains of Col. to tell when it was time to turn around and make our way back to camp. The stock tank was only able to go 53 miles before hitting reserve. Without it we would have been doing some short rides like the year before.
Do get a different mount, other than the stock plastic one that comes with the unit. Had it for 2 years and still working great.
