Rescuediver, thanks for welcoming me. You have a point about the injection vs premix; at idle the premix runs a higher oil rate. Although, my Trailblazers and Skidoos are injected and the jetskis are premixed.

 

Bryce, sometimes I wonder if people that premix, use to great of a oil mixture, which adds to the strong oil smell[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]And like you said, at idle, the premix runs a higher oil rate. But, for some people, they like that smell. It's like coffee in the morning for them.

 

Don't know, my kid's quad was oil injected when I bought it. Smoked like crazy. So does my dad's Mercury outboard. Mostly upon start-up.

Had a suzuki dirt bike that was oil injected that hardly smoked at all.

I really don't know why one would and another wouldn't? May have to do with the electric chokes? Jetting? Injection mixture not right from the factory? Beats me!

 

I just bought a mongoose 250 for 3000.00 and i love it,it handles jumps great and i weigh 250lbs, its awsome for the money the only complaint i have is that its slow off the line, you gotta full throttle to get off the gate fast while all the clutchers are 4 lengths in front of ya. same thing outta corners but for trails and powerlines it works well, one of the smoothest rides i ever experienced, looks cool too kinda like a z400
