I didnt bother to read all the gabbing inbetween but I know a 450 will. not sure if pred is quicker top end but heres a video of proof, its 15.5meg and has a bunch of quad drags. I know the pred has a e-series full exhaust not sure about anything esle or the on the 450 but the yfz wins by about 6 quad lengths. The drag with the yfz and pred is 1min 20secs in fyi. movie link

yo bro that video might prove the yfz won ........... but it will not win in a straight drag race if you have the same expierenced drivers driving them............ the guy on the predator in the vidoe was probally not as good as the guy on the yfz .............. so a predator is faster by a few quad lenths

If the wind is blowing from east to west with a barometric pressure setting @ 30.05 them the YFZ would win. If the wind is blowing from north to south with a 35% chance of rain then the predator would win. If the wind is calm and the predator is running stock then the YFZ kicks ***. If the above is reversed with a humidity setting of 62% then the predator would win. Unless the wind is blowing north by north east with a west by south west trajectory then the YFZ would win, but only by one bike length. Got It!!

That would explain my recent victory...or was it a defeat?

all right i have a 2003 predator 500 with modifications done to it but only mods done to it is for lookss.. nuttin has been done to the engine like no pipe no jet kit no rev box and so on but would like to add those mods to it in future.. i raced the 2005 yfz 450 that has a jet kit and titanium 4 FMF pipe against my 03 pred.. it was pretty much a even race the hole way but i slowly started to pull away but then the road ended the yfz 450's are great quads and i know that it all depends on the rider and the riders weight but thats just what i think about the predator and the yfz. i read this forum before i raced the yfz 450 and now that i have raced it i registered and i posted my comment... there is 2 years difference between each of the quads but my pred also has 50cc up on it so by him jetting it and piping it gave him about 50cc gain on his bike.. but what it really comes down to is the rider... but i think if the predator raced the yfz 450 stock the predator would win buy a big gain.
