Hello i am new to this forum I have an 88' lt230s quadsport. I just bought this quad for 150$ it needs new rings ,valve seals, berings and chain sliders plastic is a little ruff but other than that very good condition it has a supertrapp exaust and a UNI filter. I was wondering how fast it will go and how reliable are theses quads Thanks

 

Well I havn't heard of a 230 yet that hasn't needed rings and such. I mean the bike is 18 years old!!!!! I dont really know much about the reliability besides that if it lasted 18 years it is probably pretty reliable but if I were you for the price you got it at I would just buy some rings, and whatever you need for it and if it runs good get the thing off your hands before it possibly breaks again.

 

The lt will be bound to break when you get it fixed.I would put new plastic on it, bore it out and fix everything that is wrong with it and sell it for like $600

 

i just got an '88 too...needs a new oil ring but im just gonna throw a whole piston kit in it..i plan on keepin it...i would bet alot that you cant find something as fun for this price..

 

I have one sittin in my back yard need rebuilt needs a swing arm and bushings all over lol and it is for sale our i will part it out i dont have enuff time to work on it there great quads top out around 55 the weak point is the factory swing arm if its the bolt up kind its GOING TO BREAK SOON if its the clamp on kind ur good lol but as i said if u need parts im ur man. good luck guys

 

yo 2FAST4URASS i do need a front grill but i live in canada on border to alaska so shipping might be harsh.
