I've tried about every oil in my Mojave. Some claim to have clutch problems with "car" oils because some contain Moly which is an anti wear additive. My clutch has never slipped.

My quad drinks Amsoil and Motul like there's no tomorrow.

The shifting becomes very notchy with Mobil-1 15w50 and Chevron Delo 15w-40.

The best shifting oil I ever used was Havoline 20w-50, 2nd best was Shell Rotella 15w-40 which I'm curantly running. Oil consumption is very good with either oil unlike the Amsoil or Motule where I was carrying extra oil with me.

In my 2-stroke stuff I will only use Torco GP-7@ 40:1.

i use yamalube 20w50 in my warrior it seems to be the best oil i've found for a yamaha.

 

I've been using valvoline atv oil for a few years. I used silkolene for several years before the valvoline, and I can't tell a difference. It's hard to beat the $3.19 a quart price tag on the valvoline, and with as much as I ride $40 oil changes with amsoil would add up pretty quick.
