It's gonna be a 432cc single 4 stroke, derivated from an old bike engine called Folan (I think that's the name). They changed lots of stuff though.

I sent them an e-mail the day after I read that article in Dirt Wheels. One of the things I didn't like (other than the sick looking red color) was the gas between the foot pegs and the rear fender. Trust me, it sucks getting your leg pulled under the rear tire of an ATV! I found it interesting about the FMF pipe though. Even if the FX (when it eventually comes out) doesn't get the FMF pipe, production of an FX400 kit shouldn't take long since they would already have working prototypes available.
Between the lightweight of the machine and the claimed horsepower from C-dale, this could be a VERY impressive quad. However, I have a feeling it may be a while before this thing hits the showrooms. I dunno, but it's startin' to look like I'm gonna have to break down and buy a Raptor!?!

nevermind i saw the new one. it looked terrible! why did cannondale change it!? sombody should e-mail them and find out why then post it on here!

 

I agree it looks terrible. (now) i loved the looks before. The engin sounds very nice, but cannondale has screwed up on that other dirt bike, i guess it has bad review's, and i dont know why there fourwheeler would be so much differnt. I think a dirtbike would be alittle easyer to design
