I really like that silencer. It's my third one including the old stocker. It's deeper sounding than what my last one was. I haven't even had a chance to go ride it though- only around my house. My last one had discs on the end. But it wouldn't run correctly with the discs tightened up and then the discs kept falling out. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have a spark arrestor so it's maximum exhaust flow but i gotta watch out to not get fined. A good silencer that is forest service approved is 150 to 200 bucks. And you get silencers all day long without the arrestor for under 100 bucks. I got mine off ebay and put it on a wire wheel and polished back up cuz it had rust on it.

The stage one should give you a higher top speed. I have the lowest geared rear sprocket and i can hit 55. It's a 42 tooth and i think yours stock is 34 tooth. You should look at 36 or 38 tooth. My year stock was rated to hit 61mph with the 34 tooth. But you gain 10+ horsepower with the stage one so that should gain a couple more on top end. I think i'm gonna gear up with a 38 tooth and that should pull high 60's maybe 70. But i have a gps and i'll find out for sure.

That's good you don't have neighbors to **** off like i do. But i meant to not get tickets cuz i have to have an arrestor to ride national forests.

Getting away from the topic if you want to talk about silencers start a new thread. As for maintenance I own it and don't think its really any more work than any of the other high performance quads. Key word "high performance" , so with that of course your going to get a little more maintenance anyhow. Considering how easy it is to work on that engine I almost wouldn't even consider it work. But I love working on anything mechanical anyhow. Could screw around in the garage for hours ever day if I could find enough projects.

If you would like to advise everyone to start a new thread then maybe your time would be better spent "screwing around" in your garage.

i know we got off topic but joshk's bike is very close to mine. he has the silencer that's in a kit i'm going to get.anyhow i know high performance bikes require more maintaince but i don't want something that has 3hrs maint. per 1hr riding.did that on equipment when i worked pipeline.i don't mind working on anything, but not all the time.
