Coming from someone giving an opinion about which one is faster and does not even know anything about one of the quads or which engine the quad has in it.....

He said the 450r was long legged. If anything- the predator is long legged. (i've often heard/read 76mph top speed will stock gearing)

and most 450s dont go much above 70 right? (what's the point of going 70 mph on an mx or sx track- maybe it would help you die faster if you are suicidal) maybe 75 but the extra 1mph will help the pred out a lot in the long run.

 

If he gets a Pred, then it should be close but I would say Honda also. Now if it is an Outlaw with the KTM motor, you are most likely screwed. Worst case scenario if he beats you with the Pred, just race him every chance you get. If the predator did have the 525 KTM engine the question would of never have been brought up.

Not sure if the Preitor uses the fuji 500 ,thought it had a DOHC motor unlike the Sportsman/Scramblers SOHC.

Yes, the Predator uses the Fuji 500 dual overhead cam motor.

 

Is this a serious question? The TRX will smoke the Predator stock for stock with equal riders, there is no argument, just the facts.

 

450r smoking a pred?

i still doubt it, it will probably beat it. but then again the predator has maxxis razr tires which should help it a lot with traction- which would help it decrease gap/jump the 450r gets off the start due to 40lbs less weight

 

ok i lived this one too. it really isnt a question of opinion. a stock, any year (especially the 06 and up) 450R will beat a predator (with the fuji engine) and raptor 660. got friends that have both. the friend with the predator got rid of it. got to remember, a 450r is putting out the same if not more power AND is much lighter.

 

does not matter which bike is faster it all comes down to the rider seen people with 400ex beat 450r cause of the rider dont matter wich bike you get both durible bikes it all comes down to you can you ride?
