Sarge would be more fun to read if he spent less time berating his soilders and did alittle more training...
There have been times whensome one asked a question I would have liked answered and he spent more time telling the guy to clean the lateren... Thats not why i read the questions... I would like to know more about rejetting a carb then how some guy needed to spit polish some boots....
Sorry didn't mean to derail this discussion but i think that any bike over 299cc(four stroke) or 220cc (two stroke) is high performance...a sportsman is high perfomace if you want to crawl around mountian trails all day following a blood trail of a deer...
it all depends on what you want to do with it.. so the classes should be race, sport
sport/ut and utility.

Does HIGH performance mean "Power" or "Over all performance"
Because someone said that the modifid lt500 had 80 hp!!!!!!
Well I was thinking and a 400 sport(yes a polais) modifid(hpd,in racing form)has over 70 horse so how can you even talk about leaving off the list!!!!!!
(Can you just imagion if they WANTED to take performance to the next level LOL
)
Now if your tring to list all the high performance atv's They realy need to be in there respective classes to say which one's should be on the list.

speaking of sweedish cars, i've worked on them: '72, '75, '76, '84, volvos in my family. i've hated all of them and will never own one.
as for the husaberg... if at ain't under 400 lbs, i'm not interested in it for a dunes ride. any sport/h.p. quad weighing over 400 lbs is heavy, and if its over 500...its rediculous. if any manufacturer came out with one, the target for a race built 2-stroker would be under 300lbs.
the only real prob w/ buying a ride from the little guy(manufacturer) is getting parts.
as for the polaris, if they went to a manual tranny, A-arm front end, and loose a hundred pounds, they would be closer to the target.

ahhh! the taste of unburnt hydrocarbons in the morning, gotta love it!
'91lt250r, '94 xr250l, '84 Jeep CJ-7, all mildly modified
