Ranger,
Ye of great show (I know I laugh at you), but of little substance.

Anyhow, the original (post) question was electic or kick start, then later to be modified to "Why would you have kick when you can have electric?". The reasons are the same, if you are a racer, every ounce(saved) counts. IF your a recreational rider, its up to you. Personal choice or potential availability..

RoostKing...

And true, a LT 500R is not the easiest beast to start..

If you have big feet electic is better, otherwise you have problems with the footpeg. Electric is faster to get the quad refired if you stall it.

THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES. THE WIETH THING IS NOT ALWAYS TRUTH NEITHER. THE 400EX IS ELECTRIC AND THE BANSHEE IS KICK AND THE 400EX IS LESS WEIGHT. BUT IN MOST CASE THE KICK IS LIGHTER BUT NOT ALWAYS BETTER.
