I have taken the ex through a few deep ones, like seat underwater deep. When I put my knees on the seat and they get wet panic sets in because my air box is under the seat. I really want to go to claremont. The time is going by fast. I dont play in the water when it gets to cold with the little fenders. Is that place open in the winter?

It's open in winter as long as there is 6 or more inches of snow and the temp. is below freezing the day of the ride. I'd like to get there before winter. Parking by the Cathole Road area is pretty bad and worse in winter.

pfffft worried?

think you're smok'in a fatty if you really believe a 400 anything would take an 800 rene or outty

I cant even imagine how quick the 800 rene would be with 22" tires on it

it already bucks you off the saddle with the 25's on it!

I think in the case of a 400ex vs. a Renegade 800 you should have said, "You know, never...." :P

jumping- that's about it. even though I've gotten some pretty good air on my outty.
the 71hp and the sport tuned suspension of the outty / rene, make them feel like their floating over the trails sometimes. not saying the 400ex is a bad machine- it's a fun atv... but a renegade 800 or 1000 will turn your face white stuffing the throttle on tar. but comparing a rene / outty to a 400ex is like comparing a fiero to an STS - so it's really an unfair comparison
