So I have been having an issue with my 06ds650x for the last few weeks and I just cant figure it out for the life of me. I did a slight airbox mod to the lid as well as put a filter on my case breather hose and went to the dunes and the bike was running lean. I took it off a small razor back and it died. Started right back up and rode off. I then took the bike to my local Shop the next day and dropped it off to get the carb jetted as well as a valve adjustment. They adjusted the exhaust valves as the intake was in spec and also re jetted my carb. I changed my stock cdi box out for a big gun cdi and I took the bike back to the dunes and the jetting was spot on. Rode for a bit and the bike would cut out at the base of a jump or through whoops and while pulling a wheelie. I took it back to the pits and the problem got worse. It now dies randomly at wide open throttle, in turns, and all over the place. I already adjusted my float, changed my spark plugs, cleaned my furl tank and filters. I am at a loss of what to check next please help me out guys!

 

Well I found the issue. Turns out it was my brand new big gun cdi that was causing the issues.
