300 ex's are terrible

i used to think that 300 ex's were cool. untill me and my friends all went on a ride up north, in northern michigan, at a place called bull gap. bull gap is this huge, huge hill. my friend nick on the banshee, jason on his kdx 220, ben on his 200r, brady on his 300ex, and me on my friends atc 250sx. now the sx is totally stock, and it isnt that great of an atc. now the ex, it has a uni filter, bored out to like a 340, it has itp tires i think. it has mikuni carbs, and some other stuff. but we draged up the hill, and it was neck and neck the whole time, then i pulled ahead of him. each time we did it, the same outcome. i also beat the kdx, the 200r, but not the banshee. and the rider of the 300ex is a great rider, probably better than me. i dont really know, but the 300 ex isnt that great of a quad. if you dont believe this you can ask my friend with the banshee. hes on here, but i dont know what his name is. i will eventually find out. but for everyone that is thinking about getting a 300 ex, dont bother, just go to the next step up and get the 400, or even a banshee. something better than a 300. cause they arent good...at all.

ok sure. the 300ex is the worst quad ever. why do they still make it since when it came out in 93? or why did they make it at all since its based on the 250x. i agree with you totally its horrible, pathetic and a waste of money. Who would buy one? lmao

what a horrible story to tell about a good quad. besides, who would waste a day riding up and down a hill in the middle of the woods. put the 300 on the rest of the trails in mio/rose city area and watch it out perform most of what you were riding with. i guess it's all about what kinda riding you do, i dont even own a honda, but i have riden with many people who have them, they look like a real performer....just my two cents, tim

yeah well ive rode it myself throughout trails by my house, up north, on the road, in fields, and we've all raced that stuff too. and it still aint that great. they have also been making the mojave for awhile too, but are they good? no, not really. some quads are, like the banshee, since 86 they have been making them. but the point is, how could a honda 250sx that was completely stock beat a 300ex with carbs, tires, uni filter, and thats bored out. that just goes to show you that they aint that great. he was doin ok through out the trails, but i was right on his *** the whole time. (he was ahead cause he knew the trails) im just tryin to help people out. they should just go to the 400ex. the 400 can actually beat some stuff. and just to let you know, it didnt out perform most of the quads that were there. infast it didnt outperform any, except the 250ex. but thats obveous

If you think 300EX's suck you should ride my 250X bored out to 300. The 250X is almost the exact same as the 300. Trust me after you ride it you wont think they're worthless. I imagine the one you rode had some mechanical issues because there's no way a 250SX would be faster.

well my friends 300 is about 3 years old, its ok. its better than his first quad, which was a suzuki quadsport 230, and that thing broke down every single day. but the sx is faster. i dont know how or why, but it is. ive rode his ex and it wasnt all that was expected to be. see i just want to help people, i thought about getting one, untill i found out that they werent all that great. and then i rode my friends banshee. and that thing wasted everything that it went up against. he totally killed the 300ex, he beat a 400ex, z400, ds650, raptors, and other banshees. nut back to the point. the 300ex isnt all that great. just spend the extra dollar and get a banshee or somethin. or a 400ex.
