Zookyridr, I have bought and sold a few bikes in my time... almoast all of them, using the cycletrader.

OBO does mean the price is negotiable, but.. Ive never heard of anyone being flexible a GRAND on a 3-4K dollar bike...

 

Our local Springfield paper currently has a 2000 400EX in good condition for 3400.00 and I would be willing to bet that it could be bought for closer to 3000.00. The 2000 400EX my riding buddy just bought was listed for 3000.00 and he picked it up for 2500.00 out of the same paper. Those of us around here know that we can buy them new for 4699.00 to 4999.00 and it reflects in the used pricing. This area is overran with used 400EXs because of everyone upgrading to newer and better machines. Of course that doesn't explain all of the used Raptors in the paper. Maybe they have seen the light and are buying Cannondales.

 

Ok I made some calls to verify pricing on 400EX's. Leftover 2002 4599.00, 2003 4899.00, 2003 Raptor 5699.00, 2003 Rapter L/E 5999.00. Now can you explain why anyone would pay 4500.00 for a used 2001 400ex? And I'm sure I could call a couple more dealerships offering the same deal. As a matter of fact rumor has it a Denver dealership ( Faye something or another ) was selling leftover 400EX's for 3895.00 on Saturday's. They refused to tell me the price on the phone . They wanted me to show up with the money so I would say the rumor was correct. I've been riding since the 70s and I have always been able to find deals if I look hard enough.

Well, im not calling you a liar of course, but..

I cant see why a dealer would sell a new 400EX for less than 4 grand. They would be LOOSING money.
doesnt make sence. Things are sure different out here on the southern California coast, new 400EX's are still
$5699. (same as the Z400) Raptors are 6499, Shees are 5999.

Sounds like you guys could buy quads stateside ( LOL ) and have them shipped into your (country) cheaper than buying them there. But Cali probably has a law against that also I guess.

 

i also forgot to mention....my next door neighbor has a warrior, and my friend down the road has a 300ex. the 300 is a million times better every single way. it does awesome wheelies, wastes it in drag races, beats it in jumping, and breaking, and everything anything else you can think of. now, if thats just the 300 that can beat the warrior, why wouldnt you want to go with the 400? in the dirt wheels super shootout between all the top quads, did you see the warrior in there? nope. for 1 reason, they are LAME-O!

 

EEEAAASSYY there chad, you dont need to make people mad or hurt the feelings of people who spent (or are spending) their hard earned money on a warrior they love.

Just give your opinion in a respectable way and be done.
If I owned a warrior, Id be a little bent at you.
