i say a 300ex because kawasaki isnt that reliable... hondais prob. the best quad make wiht yamaha.. the kfx400 is nice... but a mojave i wouldnt get go wit da 300ex

 

Definitly the 300 the best all around quad you can buy on the market put a little money into it and you have a fast machine

 

Put a little money into the Mojave and you'll be eating 400ex's all day!! It's funny how pissed they get when a little Mojave runs them down!

 

Just to add a little on the reliability issue....The Mojave has been around since the 80's and there are many Mojave out there that are well over 10 years old that are still running and racing. All I can say is I have never had any problems with mine. Honda is very reliable but I just can't see the extra money for a slower quad??? Doesn't add up does it!

 

I find it very hard to believe that a mohave could outrun a 300ex. Definately not a 400ex. A 300ex might be more expensive but the money you spend will be well worth it. A 300ex is extremely reliable as is any honda . And a 300ex is NOT slower.

 

Your correct the 300ex has more power throughout the powerband and feels a lot faster almost like a 2 stroke it pulls very hard in every gear, it jumps better and you can definatly tell it's lighter when weaving around trees in the woods you can you your body to move the quad. The Mojave is more reliable, when I got myn it did not run but the timing was off and It's been fine ever since only a few loose bolts My 300ex has had its problems because It didn't get any care from whom I bought it from. The headlight on the Mojave is JUNK don't expect to do any nightime riding unless you are full throttle all the time because that's the only time it's bright, and the kickstart is a bitch if you decide to play 1 on 1 it will win and you will end up with a brusied shin it comes beck up and whacks you right in the shin it kicks foward that's kinda weird. My 300ex is just better at everything but the reverse feature, I can live without liquid cooling it's a potential problem, like what will happen if you blow a head gasket???

 

With the liquid cooled thing, i think it's not needed, my kodiak is L cooled and the water pump leaks, that is a big problem and the new pump cost me slightly over $200!

If you don't live in hot area's air cooled will do (with an oil cooler and fan)

Also the Mojave has been realatively unchanged for a lot of years (BNG)

 

i would take the mojave unless u find a new 300ex four the same price the mojave is faster
and will take the 300ex anywhere and the mojave will hop up better

 

Mojave will not hop-up better I have a FMF pipe on both of myn and the 300ex is faster

 

ur sign says ur mojave has a cobra and they suck all they do is make it loud i had a dg on my mojave and it did shyt then i put a supertrapp and it woke it up and it will hop up better it liquid cooled double overhead cams and a pipe dont add top end they maybe maybe will give u 1 mile four stroke pipes dont do that much at alli smoked my buddies 300ex on my mojave he didnt touch me in any gear i never looked back
