Got the dealer down to 6500 OTD for a raptor
Are you talking 12% interest? If so, that's not too good. When I think of out the door. It means that you have the money now or will in a short time with no trade. Then you ask the sales person: "how much WILL you go down on this Raptor?" I want to buy within so much time. ( Don't ever ask: "Will you go down?" Ask: "How much will you go down?") If you have intentions on financing through a dealer don't tell them that you want to until a price has been agreed to. I like to pay for purchases in cash/check without a loan because you can get a better deal. But if you have to get a loan, go to a credit union or bank to get better interest rates. If you can get a personal loan it may be a higher interest rate at a bank but still lower than a dealer. Then you can take that cash in and get a better price. I don't think that the invoice price on a quad will help as much as a car. I'd watch the end of year sales and rebate offers to see how low they've offered it at in the past. Maybe you can dig up some old ads somewhere. If you have the money, I'd say go in thinking $6000. and maybe pay $6200./6300. out the door. Just to compare to the $6500. They can do better. Price around more! What price did they have on the machine and was it more than retail?

UPDATE: $6099 OTD for 03 Raptor
The price of $6099. otd sounds alot better. Why were the two interest rates so different when they were both from Yamaha dealers? Did one or both of the Yamaha places deal with their own banks to offer interest rates other than Yamaha? It seems that if both rates were offered through Yamaha they'd be the same. Just wondering.

UPDATE: $6099 OTD for 03 Raptor
yamahas fianance is a rip. we usually by everything out right but this time we didnt have all the money (i already had a 400ex and raptor). well at the time they were having the 1$ a day deal. well we didnt get a bill till the deal was over, and during those months we were calling those a$$ holes about it and nothing came of it. plus the bill had late charges! we told them to send a bill to pay it off, but they wouldnt so we let them take it. i had a free ride for over 8 months!
