my 300ex can hold a banshee till ssbout 3rd gear then the banshee starts to pull real hard.

YFZ and Cannondale neck and neck
all others behind ... DS and Rappy close.. maybe Quadzilla in the mix... stock 250r isn't much at all... Banshee is somewhere in there too probly on the heels of the DS and Rappy, maybe even ahead.

Cop, you are on something if you think that DS is that fast.... It isn't even in the same ballpark as the YFZ or Cdale power/weight

 

I have to agree with Bartlett. My 04' DS has easily pulled older DS's. Most DS owners in the Bomb forum seem to agree that the 04's are faster. Bombardier swears that they didn't change the motor but it sure has a different powerband feel to it. I can't believe it is just the weight reduction and shorter swingarm that makes the 04' that much faster. It has to be internal. Thomez, I have also beaten two Cannondales (Blaze and Canibal) but was very impressed with them. It was a very close race. Who knows, that Honda might be faster. We will see soon enough. The updated predator for 04 might also be a factor. All I know is that I have not lost a race to a STOCK quad yet, that has to say something for the DS Baja X because I am not an expert rider and do make mistakes. The DS just helps me overcome those mistakes. It is just that good.

I wanna race one though! I know I saw a fully stock YFZ on a straight the other day - when I hit 3rd .... quickly came the brakes. That thing in stock form... I'm sure I could take it. It needed opened up. I almost rear ended him!

Maybe I'll see a DS this summer and we'll see how it shapes up... but by then ... I won't be stock anymore ! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

Stock against stock its hard to beat the Rotax in the DS . Like cop said I've never been beat by another stock quad except due to driver error. Includeing Raptors. YFZ's, banshees, 400EX's, 1 cannible, several vforce 700's with pipes, they werent that quick even out of the hole. So in 300 feet Ihave to say - stock its the DS.

 

The YFZ is way faster then the raptor. Maybe not in stock form but with a pipe the YFZ will beat the raptor very easily. My bro-in-law has both with big gun exhausts and the YFZ is faster. But none of them can outrun my Suzuki lt250. (but that may be due to the Honda Cr500 motor in it I guess lol)

 

Am I missing something, I thought that this thread was about STOCK, not with a pipe I can beat anything. Stock is stock not piped, jetted big bore or anything else.
