Do you smell that?

Hey guys, I was wondering how difficult of a job this is to do, my manual says 2.5mm, for float height from main stanchion to the float arm, but I was wondering if I change the float height if I will also need to change my other jets too?? Since I'm not very familiar with carbs I'm not sure if I want to do this one myself or not. Anyway does anyone know if I'll need to adjust my other jet screws after I change the float height??? Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hey guys, forgot to ask,-------How big of a difference is this going to make in my performance, and will it hurt anything if I leave the float adjustment the way it is (a little too high and running rich-also leaking out the overflow) Thanks again------Matt

Leaving the float hight the way it is won't really hurt your bike, cause it doesn't make the bike any richer. The fuel never makes it into the engine!Remember, it just gets wasted, cause it is getting dumped on the ground. You need to be accurate though, if you attempt to adjust them, because too low means your bike will starve for fuel. Even this shouldn't hurt anything, though, because the bike will stumble and stall and run like poop. This means that it will be hard to ride the bike this way. BTW what I am refering to is FUEL LEVEL in the float bowl as determined by the floats. So, if you take it apart and don't think you fully understand how they work, leave them alone till you can get someones help.

speaking of this, My friends Honda 250R leaks gas out the overflow, like if the gas is on without it running. I asked if his float needle wasnt seating or something, and he just said they all do that, nothing can be done.. I think hes retarded, am I right?

He may be right, this could be why we shut off the fuel when our quads aren't going anywhere for awhile. Well I used to shut mine off, when I had a carb.

Hey Cannibal I sent you a private message, but I never know if those things work, anyway thanks for your help with the float valve , do you think it will increase my performance if I do fix it, maybe the low end? Thanks again
