Default Beware of TUDORS!!!!

Look guys, Im NOT the type of guy to bash people but i feel it is my duty to warn fellow ATV enthusiasts about con men such as Jeff Tudor. I know there are people out there that swear by his work and i also know there are people out there that hate his gutts. I feel it is my duty to inform you people about my experience in dealings with this guy.
First off let me start with this. I called up Mr Jeff Tudor around September of 2002 and asked him about how long of a turn around for doing up an lt500 motor would be. He told me , "About a three week turn around". So i said exellent lets do it.. Ill ship you the motor by next month and lets make this thing rip!!
So off my motor went to TUDORS in CALI.
Where it sat and sat and sat and sat some more.....Phone call after phone call after phone calls unanswered,........ E-mails after e-mails after e-mails, ........Then it was excuses after more excuses.
7 months later.........THATS RIGHT!!!! I did say SEVEN (7) MONTHS later i get my motor back. It looks like its been through a war and kicked around a bit!!! But it was rebuilt....OMG 7 fricken months later. WOW. BUT he fails to cover all the intake holes with anything... puts it in a bag with holes in it ,puts it in a box and packs it full of packing popcorn. Well ,no surprises here.....of course there has to be packing popcorn now stuck in the head where the coolant would nomally flow...GRRRRRRR!!! Now i take the head off and ruin the gasketr in the process. He also fails to pack up and send me the rubber boot which goes over the reed cage....He was supposed to custom cut that to fit the new v-force cage. But he faiedl to ship it. And also while inspecting my now abused motor , One of the exhaust holes where the exhaust studs would normally go is completely dented in as if someone dropped the motor on the ground....NICE. Gotta love this professional work.
Well let me tell ya....after alll that im glad to just have the motor back into my hands. As soon as i get the rest of my parts from Mr. Jeff Tudor , ill let you know if the thing actually runs.......I have my doudts though .
My word of advice to you people out there is Jeff sells some good parts and what not but i would stay away from sending any motor to him, Unless you have about a year to wait.
Like i said , this is just my opinion and my experiences with this so called "TUDORS PERFORMANCE"

You should try and forward this forum thread onto him and see if you get a fast resolution, if he sees that he is getting a lot of bad publicity then maybe he will try and make things right. There have already been almost a hundred hits on this thread, thats a hundred people who will definitly think before doing business with him. This would be a lot faster and cheaper then seeking legal action. You might want to edit the thread and take out where you call him "meathead" as this will only escalate the situation if he sees a personal attack like that. Believe me I understand your anger/frustration as I went thru something similar with a car mechanic, and it does sound like you have a valid complaint. Keep us posted as to what the outcome is and how Tudors handles this, and also thanks for the heads-up on them

Yeah i agree.....i had to edit it a little....i dont want to stoop to his level of unprofessionalism. Like i said this is only my opinions on the issue and my personal experiences with this company. I didnt want this personal matter to come down to me bashing him but he leaves me no choice due to his actions thus far. I feel obligated to let other ATV enthusiasts know about my experience. So just be carefull and think twice before sending your motor to him.

Peace
zig

Are you sure that you got your motor back and not something he had laying around his shop? I hope that didn't happen.

dirthead, I dont think there will be any kind of outcome from all this... The guy still refuses to answer my messages and e-mails.... In other words, Im stuck with what i have. I cant wait to get out to Cali someday , so i can go directly to his shop and confront Mr. Jeff Tudor face to face. Now that, i'm looking forward too.

Any one have a extra 87 lt500 boot that connects to the reed cage they want to get rid of?
