My brother in law's frame broke 5 weeks ago it has been at the dealer for 4 weeks, we called Suzuki today to see what the hold up is they said the frames are backordered and that we are on a long list of people with broken frame around the U.S. he then said we should have our frame the first week of July so there go's july 4th weekend. Moral of this story get your frames gusseted while you can because sooner or later the frames will break and you'll be waiting too. P.S. Suzuki did confirm the 04 will have a better frame made by a new supplier but we will still get the old frame style great customer service, but he did say he would send us a gift certificate yeh.

 

If there are THAT many problems with the frame (mine has shown no sign of breaking yet) then I would assume a recall, at least for some parts that bolt on to make the frame stronger. That's horsepoo.

What do we need to do to get Suzuki to recall? Honda recalls for bolts that "weren't torqued properly". I would think a weak frame would be one thing that would make consumer affairs (or whoever does it) force zuk to do a recall.

 

There will be no recall thats why when you get your frame replaced they replace it with the old style and not the 04 frame so they do not have to admit there is a problem.
