I got a 2003 Vinson Automatic. I was wondering how many of you that have bigger tires are making out.

I read in other threads here that people were "poppin'" CV Joints.

If you have big tires on your Vinson...what kind and size are they? And...how do you like them?

the guy i was talking about was trying to yank a tree down or something stupid. one broke then and one later. i think he cracked it during the tree incident. he has a bigfoot kit on it with mt 589's. they are very wide. i think i would do like this guys brother. he has some 26" super swampers on his yamaha grizzley. it will go about anywhere and the tires are not too wide. it gives him alot of ground clearance. i think if you drive responsibily you won't have to wory about any tires you put on there. or you can order some gorilla axles from bertsdirtworks.com and this may fix the axle problem. thats what my friend is doing. suzuki wants 500+ apiece for theirs and you can get heavier duty ones for half the cost of theirs.

 

I am running 26" Dirt Devils, awesome tire, no problems yet.

Was thinking about some 26" or 27" Mud Lites

 

I have 27" MudBugs on mine. They are freakin' bad a$$! I can go anywhere. The problem is I get covered in mud just driving around the yard. The tires stick out past the fenders too far. The reason I chose the MudBugs is because they are the only big tires that come in stock sizes: 27-8-12 and 27-10-12. But my brother-in-law talked me into getting 27-10-12 and 27-12-12, he said they would be better in the mud. I wish I had gone with the stock sizes but I love the tires none the less. As for the CVs It's always in the back of my mind, I haven't had any problems yet. I try to keep it out of low as much as possible. You do notice a difference in low end but hopefully I will be getting a HMF and jet kit to correct that problem. Well just my .02.
