i just think a blaster as a first bike for most people isn't a good idea. Depends on prior experience with a clutch.

I started driving a standard s-10 when i was 7, and have been able to drive any bike i jumped on.

I still wouldn't suggest a bike with a clutch as the first bike you have EVER rode. They are pretty fast even with my big rear on it

a blaster is light and pretty snappy for being just a 200, but they are great for anyone who thinks theyll be an aggressive rider, even a person who has never riden one. Yes the clutch takes a little getting used to but all you need to do is find a nice open area and get used to it , im not suggesting they try and keep up with the pros or anything. For any 16 year old with half a nut it would be just fine, id rather it scare him the first couple times out than him getting bored a month later. Besides i rode a honda 250r 3-wheeler my first time out, yes it scared the hell out of me and i crashed several times , and i loved it. I bought a banshee 6 months later cuz the blaster wasnt fast enough.
