SAY WHAT!?!?!?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]Yeah, Kawasaki has no idea what they're doing with their ATVs at all. The V-Force, Prairie and Brute Force are only some of the most awesome quads ever built. I'm sure the upcoming KFX450 mxer will be an absolute piece of junk as well. Dirtbike technology leads to quad technology. If you're on top of the bike game, it usually says something about your ATVs as well.

 

there is no way on earth a z250 is 1mph faster than a mojave, a z250 goes 53 or so, i rode my mojave through a speed trap and got 61 with my air box lid off. my mojave stock for stock can beat the 300ex because of the total horsepower gains because of the liquid cooling... face it, z250's are newer and the only reason they are in anymagazines now is because they just came out. the mojave has been virtually unchanged over the last 18 years because it's such a good machine. if you were interested in having the better quad you would choose a mojave, if you had seen the reviews from when it debutedin 87 you would know why....snorkel...dual over head cams.... liquid cooling...o-ring chain drive...produces more power than most 300cc 4 stroke atv's...uhh don't make me embarass the z-250 anymore, it's a great beginner quad but don't you just get bored of no clutch? the mojave is now called the kfx250, although it is the same exact quad as it has been for the last 18 years it just goes to show you that it's superior. if you want to look at it technically a mojave is the earlier little brother to the kfx400/z400, it has everysingle one of the same features as those quads, but with a 249cc displacement engine...i think the mojave is the REAL z-250

 

OK. Let's just RELAX for a second, and try to put this in perspective. While the Mojave owners of the world are beating their chests over how superior it is to the Z250, understand that if you are looking for the features of a modern 4 stroke ATV, neither of these machines really qualify. I'm not saying they aren't both great bikes, but, if you need more performance than the Z250 can offer wouldn't you really be looking for a well suspended 400 to 660cc machine?
BTW I love both of these quads. I say you get one or the other and talk one of your non ridin' buddies into getting the other then you get to ride them both. Ha!
