If you have 40HP after all that your tuning must be HORRIBLE!! You would easily have 45 with all that, trust me, and after say a 440 kit have anywhere from 50-55 depending on the build.

 

Bulldog to the rescue. I was taking a SWAG (scientific wild azz guess) at the Z hp. I know it's 35hp With just the CT pipe jets and filter.

By the way, what do you think of the thumper and duncan 470 kits? Would you say 60+ hp?

But I am really not sure about what kinds of numbers the 470's put out. I have heard good and bad reports from them. One thing people definetly don't complain about the 470's is their TORQUE!!! It is supposed to have major pull throughout every gear. Bad that I've heard is blowing head gaskets, and the reliablity issues. But those are just case by case scenarios, so who knows.
