I think some of you guys are absorbing a little too much of the Hype and not looking at the actual machinery involved. It’s a modern 4 stroke single 439cc engine pushing probably 370 pounds of quad ready to ride,
We’re not talking about space shuttle performance here boys.

Megacrash... on a side note do you know anything about the Indiana dunes on the border of Michigan around Gary? I heard that there were some areas that you could ride up there. I'm not to sure I want to drive the extra bit to Silver Lake this year. If I put in that many miles, I might as well drive the 15 hours from Columbus, IN to LS OK dunes. -Thanks!

I’ve also heard that, a couple years ago I even went up there and tried it. The Indiana DNR boys quickly informed me that there was no such area, might be different now though.
I live 3 hours from riding in all directions,
North = Silver lake and trail systems by Big Rapids MI
South = Badlands
East = Illinois
West = Ohio

Kind of sucks but I’ve just accepted that any riding will take me 3 hours to get to.

I heard that that the ITP race in GlenHelen last weekend that Jeremy Schells Trinity KXF440 was pulling the holeshot over everything inc. many 450's. I know that the local guy from Utah took 3rd and he has stock carb and ignition, the rest is same as the Trinity bike. He beat Kory Ellis and said he was a little slower than Kory, but Kory wrecked, so he beat him.
So I would say get a 440 kit cams, port polish, carb igintion and you are right there.

 

Well I just got back from a 4 day trip from Pismo last night and there were 3 450's that I had seen. 2 were bone stock (baffle and lid on) and one that was piped. I must have raced a bone stock red & white one 10 times at the flats in the far corner of Pismo. I beat him all but 2 times. Now I am not trying to brag or boast, just telling it how it was. Some of you may think I'm lying, but maybe if some of you guys were out there Friday and Saturday you can vouch for me. I was the red and white Z racing the red and white 450.

 

Just buy a Quadzilla 500, cheap and fast. Mod it and you have a very badass quad.
