Well for that money I dont really have too much for you but for take off speed, drop the front sprocket size down a tooth, made a world of difference on take offs and it winds out alot quicker. Get a pipe(Anyone besides the stocker), jet kit and the nice proflow adapter kit from Alba and I think you will be at your 500.00 limit. Oh, and dont forget to toss the airbox lid, lots of restriction there for sure. Have fun and RIDE SAFE!!

Stock, the Z has a 14/40 sprocket combo. If you want to add a little top end then change the rear sprocket to a 39, if you want drastic top end change the front sprocket to a 15. The front sprocket is a bigger jump than the back. For every tooth up front is about 2.5 teeth in the rear. Hope this helps you. For more top end you go bigger in the front and smaller in the back. For more torque you go smaller in the front and bigger in the back.

My jetting recommendations:
Lid on, baffle removed, peashooter mod:
25 main, 3 turns out, alba needle at #4 from the top, 145 main.
Lid off (or holes in lid), snorkel or baffle removed, peashooter mod:
27.5 pilot, 2-2.5 turns out, alba needle at #4 from the top, 155-160 main
For about $30, you'll have an entirely different machine, and it won't be overly loud and annoying.

Just get a pipe if you go for more top end get a low to midrange pipe. if you go for more torque go foe a mid to top end pipe. There are so many good pipes out there it is just based on opinion of which pipe that person has.

Oh yeah rapter owner you have your gearing ratios wrong

Default NEED FOR SPEED

Now why do I have my gear ratio wrong??? I put it on for take off speed and just doing a 7.00 front sprocket size I take off and the bike winds out faster and now I beat a buddies 400ex by 5 bike lengths. Before the change it was only 1 or just even. Thats all I wanted to do is take off faster out of the hole. I dont need nothing else for my Z. So why do you say mine is wrong if you dont know why I did that?
