tecate is the fastest, trx handles the best but not by that much, lt is good all around.

Don't buy a Tecate, they aren't relaiable. You will generally find a nicer lt250r for the money than a trx250r. The trx250r has more aftermarket, but if you aren't going to do a ton of mods it may be more economical to buy a ltr. Try and get a 88-up quadracer, they have better motors.

The LT then would be the best bang for your buck!

how often will you need to change the top end my friend says every 6 months or so also i found a 93 300ex it has graphics skidplates and a bumber and he wants 2500 i called and asked for 1700 cuz the blue book value is 1500 he siad its too low i think its a rip off is it? i also found a 1986 SUZUKI LT250R,
new CT Racing top and bottom end bored and stroked to 310cc, CT Racing port and polish, new clutch, new FMF pipe and silencer, new Maier plastics, new FDactory 909 bars, new Renthal grips, new DG neerf bars, new K&N filter, new V-Force carbon fiber reeds and cage, much more and its for 1900 witch is a better deal the 300 or the lt thanks

How often you rebuild the top end depends on how much and hard hard you ride. If you get a good top end, run good oil, and don't beat it a top end should last at least a year, prob 2. I think that EX is a bit pricey.
