recon vs. z250
#2
Dude,
You have inquired about 3 totally different quads. The Recon is a utility quad, the Z250 a sport quad, and the Bruin a Sport utility quad. I would suggest that you decide what type of riding you want to do and select a comparrison based on that. Will you be riding in mud/water, do you want to sport ride ie: whoops/jumps etc.

I would guess that the Bruin is comparable to the Wolverine in speed since they are almost the same bike with the exception of the tranny. I have a Wolverine and it tops out about 57 MPH with stock tires and 63-65 with the 27' mudders. (by the way it is for sale) The Wolverine is the only sport utility Quad that can handle the whoops with ease and also get you through the woods and mud. (other that the polaris scram 500 which I have been told is not reliable) The dry weight is only 411lbs!
As for the Bruin... belt drive! yuck! Remember, speed is not the only factor in keeping up. I have friends that have much faster quads than mine with bigger engines, re: Prarie 650, Suzuki Vison) but they cannot corner, get through the whoops, or accelerate as fast as I can. Being able to handle the bike at high speeds is more important that speed by itself!
Just my opinion...
