Default 03 eiger 4x4 trouble

I have an 03 eiger 4x4 manual shift. The bike has been awsome in every riding condition i have come to mud, snow water cutting trails in overgrown mountain woodlands ect. Is just started acting up though . it starts and idles fine but as soon as i give it some throttle it cuts out. If i partially obstruct the air intake snorkle it runs fine. If anyone out there has any input as to the cause of this I would greatly appreciate it. thanks

Both of our eigers have done this. One had a piece of plastic floating around in the float bowl, two big to drain out had to take carb apart. Other one does it every now and then... It always comes out of it. nothing in the float bowl...

I have two 2003 Eiger 4x4 with manuels shifts and they both also do this. What I have found to do is give the throttle very slowly and only open it up to about 1/4 throttle, then apply the choke to full. drive the Eiger like this until it warms up after that it should be fine. Both of my Eigers have been like that from the start. Hope that this helps.

Make sure your airbox lid is tight and you dont have any suction leaks between the airbox and the carb.My wifes ozark did the same thing
after I cleaned the air filter one time until I figured out that I had'nt put the lid on right.

Question:
Does water ever come into play prior to having this problem? The symptoms are almost textbook for having water in the bowl. Just wondering before I buy one of these things.
