LT250R super lean when starting and idle

Default LT250R super lean when starting and idle

i have an lean problem that is haunting me! the bike has a 37.5 pilot jet, the clip is on 2nd down i mix my gas 32:1 should i get a bigger pilot or drop the needle to the 3rd down ? the bike will drive it self the idle is so high, oh and i have no air leaks the motor is brand new. FmF pipe, boysen reeds clamp on K&N, no air box my air screw or idle screw have no effect on it what so ever. so im sumped. help would be greatly appereciated !!!!!!! Default LT250R super lean when starting and idle

If your air screw and idle screw don't affect it you have passages plugged. Clean the carb real good, spray carb cleaner forced into all the passages and use compressed air to blow out, then start over. Your needle is for 1/4 or so throttle and up, it shouldn't affect idle, that'll be your pilot jet.

Thanks ill try that, but the carb has a 37.5 stock pilot in it and it blows smoke really bad so i cant go up can i?

Default LT250R super lean when starting and idle

I would lay money something's just goofy inside your carb. Even with a lean pilot jet it shouldn't be that bad, just my opinion.
