Default Suzuki DRZ 250 problem (I need help)

I have a Suzuki DRZ 250 that I just purchased. I like the bike but it won't rev down to an idle well. It seems to race before coming down. I've tryed adjusting the front screw on the bottom front of the carb be that just seems to make it run rich or lean. I thoroughly cleaned the carb and took out the jets and cleaned them all but still can't find the problem. I also looked for an air leak but couldn't find anything. When I lower the idle way down,(past the point of an idle so it stalls) the bike runs like it should when traveling and comes back down fine but the there is no idle. How can I have the bike come down to a normal idle without having it rev first? Thanks, Doug

Check your needle valve. Make sure the tip is still good.

Thanks for the help. What should the tip look like and can I reshape it if it isn't? Thanks, Doug
