Default LT500 starter

Has anyone messed with the idea of someone making some custom brackets and the like and putting on an electric starter? Like one from a Raptor or something? I know you couldn't attach the starter to the case very easily, so you would have to make some brackets that connect to the frame so the starter has something to hold it and brace it from a backfire. Would it even be possible, since the 500 is kick start? Having an electric starter on my bike would really make me happy, since I'm 135 soaking wet and it's a pain to kickstart. Kev,

Actually it's more technique than anything to start the big bores... I've watched folks kick their brains out trying to get started... Mine starts with 1 or 2 kicks... cold or warm.
State of tune also makes a huge difference.
I can't imagine ever needing an electric starter, let alone ADD weight to my already heavy machine.

Just my $.02

Yeah I've heard that there is a way to start them. I just thought if it's been done before someone would know on this forum. But my bike is almost done (just put the front end on yesterday) and so at the end of this week I'll learn how to start it. The guy at the shop had it going in 1-2 kicks everytime, I just couldn't feel where TDC was. Slowly kicking over, there is compression, then it's easy, then it's compression, and then easy again. So when the compression starts, is that TDC? Or should I wait until it's almost to the point where it's easy to kick over (compression is gone)? I'll post some pictures of my zilla when it's done so you can see.

kick it slowly over untill it gets hard to push

then raise up and kick it down.

I think I remember seeing an ad in dirt wheels for a company that made electric start applications for quads with kick start only. I think it has been a while and I dont know if they made on for the zilla. Have the guy at the shop show you how he started it so easy. If you weigh 135, I am sure he would understand so you shouldnt feel funny asking.
