eiger top speed
#2
I've had my stock Eiger to 54 and ran out of road. There was still a little left but not much. So I'd say under ideal conditions you're looking at 55 or so, give or take a couple of mph's. Since then there have been a couple of other times trying to wind it out - top speed then was less - maybe 51 to 52, but the surface was softer.
Factor in that this is only as accurate as a 'zuki speedometer says. I run recommended tire pressure at about 4.5psi, me and my gear weigh in at about 220 or so. Trail surface, temperature and humidity will affect top speed. Safe to say that it will do 50, but will not see 60 without some mods or riding on the trailer on the interstate.
More important - The Eiger will be one of the fastest in it's class. No 400cc utility is going to run away from it.

Ran mine up to 55mph racing a 00 Honda Foreman 4wd and smoked him so bad I seriously dint think it was funny, although it wasnt a fair race since all honda utilities are slow. But I do have to give Honda credit for there torque they have on bottom end.

I get smart at any speed above 20mph. In other words, I don't go faster because I don't want to get my neck broken at 50+ mph. One spill and it can be all over for you. At my age (60) I don't take many chances.

come on dewbaby speed and adrenelin keep you young. Any way my freind just bought an eiger and on pavement hit 56 on gps. I finaly broke 70 in my vinson on gps. I guess i also have to mention that i had the tires way over inflated.

Wisdom and slower speeds get you to older age.
I was young once.
You are only young once and if you do it right, once is enough!

I also have a 2003 Eiger manual. It does about 90km/h, but I have had it up to 95km/h on the cement, but then the speedos maxed out so I couldn't tell how fast I was going. That's righ the Eiger is one of the fastest 400cc ATV's out there right now, compared to the Yamaha Big Bear 400cc this thing is a speed demon!!! I was also wondering what I can do to my Eiger to make it go faster?
Thanks!
Thanks!
