Default zilla reed stoppers.

what happens if the reed stoppers are removed on a zilla? My 88 zilla dosent have them and it seems to run fine, is it worth finding a set and putting them in? If so, where can I find a set?
thanks.

Do you have a stock reed cage?
FMF sells thier own unit, and they don't use the stops...

If you're running the stockers without, I'm thinking that reed petal life would be shortened.

Default zilla reed stoppers.

The intention of a reed stop is to help decrease petal vibration at high intake velocities.
You can visualize how the petals could vibrate when pushed open.

Is there a performance benefit from having the stoppers removed? I'd say no, If anything... a detriment.. Significant? probably not.

Just my $.02
