I was at my local dealer today and they mentioned something about suzuki coming out with a new version quadzilla. They said it will be a 500cc, 4 stroke with fuel injection. That is about all they knew about it.

Anyone know anything?

How dare they even consider the name on something that isn't bigger and badder than anything ever produced (Hence, the original QZ).... Let alone a thump thump!!!
Unless of course they used an 1100cc inline 4 in a sub 300# package... then it wouldn't upset me too bad.

Turns my stomach just thinking about it! They've already re-used the LT500 designation... and it just hacks me!!

I hope your dealer is full of hot air (among other things)

I agree, If they dare bring back the "slang" name QuadZilla. They had better make it just that! A Quad ZILLA!! and not some 500cc thumper that will only be competitve at best. JMO.

Yeah, what they said, If the are gonna call it a LT500 Quadzilla, it better be able to kick the bushings out of my 89 Zilla, and that just aint gonna happen with a stump-puller.

I dont know, if they come out with a 500 with fuel injection, it could be way more then competitive. Just depends on how far they push the envelope. I mean look at the little 439cc yfz that kicks pretty much everythings butt.

I was hoping someone else had heard something, but I guess not.

there will never be another REAL quadzilla unless they make a new 500 2-stroke engine. I hate 4 strokes unless you use them for working. But what i heard is that they are going to quit making 2 strokes in 2005/2006 cause of pollution problems, but what about 4 strokes with worn out rings, they smoke just as bad or worse than a 2 stroke. i think that suzuki and honda should make a remake of the older 250R and Suzuki should produce a remake of the quadzilla before this law passes.

 

But what about all the 2 cycles that have worn rings? You can't bash the 4 strokes because the EPA has it out for the 2 strokes. 4 strokes pollute less, so they are further back on the EPA's kill list. Deal with it. Both have their advantages, and can be capable motors. If they sucked so bad all of the snowmobilers would have shunned them, and they wouldn't be making more and more 4 stroke sleds.

 

What you mean the Yamaha RX1-TON. That thing sucks for trail ridding. All of the rest of the 4 strokes suck too, None of them have any power to move a snowmobile out of the way. Snowmobiles are more popular so there is actually R&D to make the motors meet the EPA guidlines. I just bought another Ski-Doo Rev and it is EPA to 2006 and they have the SDI motor that is EPA to 2008 or 2010 can't remember. I don't know how you talked to ALL of the snowmobilers, but I would touch one with.... well you know the rest.
