That was a street bike but they did make the SL350 with the same motor that could be ridden off road.

was it the same bike just with different tires or was the suspension different too?

Yes that is it except it just had the exhaust on one side only and it was pretty high up on the bike.

OK, you had the scrambler model. I thought those looked better. The SL 350 was on a different frame and had off road suspension of that era.
