Default Using Epoxy.

Hey,

I was wondering if any of you painted any of your metal parts with epoxy paint. My cousin used it for his rims, put a crap load of coats. Supposedly they will not chip or scratch. I'm a rider on a budget so epoxy will be a lot easier on my wallet than a powdercoat. Do you think it'll be fine to use epoxy on other things such as the bumper, nerfs? Yeah I'm the type of guy that would paint his nerfs.

thanks

Epoxy paint is touger than regular paint, but if you ride hard you will still probably chip it off. Powder coating is at least 10 times as strong as any paint due to the fact that it is actually bonded to the metal. Powder coating is fairly cheap if you want black or white. In a typical shop it costs nearly $1,000 to change over the filters and such to run a different color.
